Tiffany Wandy

Area Chair (2023-2026)

  • Tiffany grew up in Connecticut showing in the equitation ring while a junior.  Once in college, she began competing in the jumpers and was one of the founding members of the eventing team at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  Following graduation, Tiffany launched her career in public health, living abroad in Russia and China, while continuing riding on both continents.  Tiffany returned to the US for graduate school and purchased her Thoroughbred Doctor James for retraining after he retired from racing.  James and Tiffany ultimately competed through the FEI 3* level as an adult amateur pair and by that time, Tiffany was hooked on both restarting OTTBs and eventing.  Tiffany now lives with her husband, dogs, cats, and horses at their farm Foxy’s Spring Meadows in Churchville, MD.  She’s an active competitor at both recognized and unrecognized events across Area 2 and continues to pursue her full-time career by working as a consultant for a digital health startup.

Angie Francart

Young Rider Coordinator

(304) 268-0021

  • Angie has been riding since she was five years old and started her career riding saddle seat and Arabians.  Throughout high school, she taught riding lessons and competed her Arabian stallion in US and Canadian Nationals, as well as her half Arab in hunter/jumpers. In 2003, she and her husband bought their first farm with the goal in mind of breeding warmbloods. Their plan quickly changed, however, when they hired an eventer to help them manage their barn and Angie received her first OTTB. This led to Angie and her husband founding and developing their own nonprofit Thoroughbred sanctuary, Sleeping Fox Farm Thoroughbred Rescue, Inc. and starting Sleeping Fox Farm Eventing. Angie continues to be an active competitor in Area 2 and regularly hosts clinics with top riders at her farm throughout the year. Additionally, Angie is an ECP certified coach focused on introducing young and adult riders to the sport of eventing, both on her schoolmasters and on their own horses. Lastly, Angie is a USEA safety coordinator and is hoping to work towards becoming a TD in the future.
